CHAOYANG SHAN AIR BATTLE MONUMENT 02/15/2009
Chinese: 兰州空战纪念碑,潮阳山 Lánzhōu Kōngzhàn Jìniànbēi, Cháoyáng Shān Cháoyáng Shān (潮阳山) is the hill to the east of Baita Shan. At the top, overlooking the Yellow River, is a monument to the Soviet pilots who died during the air battles of Lanzhou during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1941). Take the back road to Baita Shan but go straight on at the gate, and follow the road up to the top.
